Well what a busy time we've had since I last wrote, and we've made some good progress:
Firstly as we know many of you are concerned about traffic calming, we have enrolled on the 'Speedaware' programme run by Warwickshire County Council. This involves a temporary speed visor visiting Wixford on regular occasions, which will hopefully alleviate a lot of your traffic concerns. This scheme goes active in February 2007.
Also, we have recently been granted £ 5000 from 'Awards for all' to build our own community website. I have ideas as to the basics of what you would require in Wixford, such as planning, Councillors details, what's on and information regarding Council meetings. But please have a think about what you would want to put on your community website and let me know if I'm missing something that could help you in any way or benefit the people of Wixford in any way whatsoever.
